kayden’s birthday cake

my little baby girl is not so little anymore!! 2 on sunday?! how the heck did this happen? i am just shocked that she is peeing on a potty and talking… time really flies. 

if you know me or read this blog, you know i’m obsessed with throwing parties. one day when my babies are grown, i might become a party planner:) 

i usually spend a month planning and getting things together. this year i started planning kayden’s birthday on monday. monday as in yesterday. as in one week prep time… this is so unlike me. i’m scrambling to get the loose ends tied up but i have picked out her cake and sent the order in! progress! it is beautiful too so i thought i’d start sharing some party preparations this week. kayden’s birthday week here! :)

Kayden’s first birthday!

On Saturday Kayden turned one! We had a nice party with family and close friends. She was adorable and loved all the attention. (such a leo) I made a lot of the decorations myself and the favors were all handmade.

I wanted a garden style look so we used two long buffet tables and Frankie painted a bunch of wooden chairs we had in adorable colors.

There were paper lanterns everywhere…

Here’s us trying to get a nice family picture but Kian is throwing up his usual peace signs… They may be gang signs but I prefer to think he’s saying “peace” :)

And she loved being the center of attention!

I had so much fun planning her birthday and even though I’m exhausted, it was all worth it.
