Dear Kayden,

Please don’t ever be “that” girl. You know the one that says, “I don’t have any girlfriends, I just don’t get along with girls.” If you learn one thing from me (hopefully it’ll be more than that) it’s to have a rich supply of close girlfriends who you love and trust. Mommy has so many wonderful friends and all are so different. Some have babies, some far from it. Some busy with careers and boyfriends and some still come sleep on our couch after a night out. And although they’re all so different, they have one thing in common. I need them in my life. Your god mother has been my bff since we were 10. Even though she lives in Texas, we still text and keep in touch on Facebook every week. Remember to be kind and gracious, and you will draw friends to you like a magnet. There might be girls prettier or smarter or funnier, but you’ll always have better hair than them… wait jk! You are beautiful and smart and funny, and deserve to have meaningful relationships. You will be the girl everyone likes, you already are! Cherish these girls, because sometimes, you just can’t tell your hubby all the weird things you’re going through, or why your period hasn’t started yet, or you just need someone to sit and talk to about your love for Jude Law…
